WHO WE ARE

For over seventy years we have manufactured and sold high quality lumber products from Western softwood species.

HOW IT STARTED

Our company was established in 1953 by David W. Blasen and Henry Granat. Initially it was a couple of telephones and two hungry wholesalers out to connect hundreds of small Oregon mills with the customers who needed their products. Our first office was at Seventh and Washington in the Morgan Building, back when the industry looked very different from today.

HOW IT'S GOING

We bought our first piece of equipment in 1972, a Paulson moulder, and moved to our first plant site. Our current owner graduated from college and used his literature degree to scour Powell's Books for anything he could find on running and installing more manufacturing equipment. Eventually we outgrew our space and moved to our current location, a 100+ year old wooden pipe and tank factory, in 1976. It was a little big at the time, but we've been stuffing it full of machinery ever since.
